When starting this project, I looked to designer Tissi for inspiration. She belongs to a generation that challenged the constraints of "Swiss Style" while embracing both modern flair and elegant simplicity. I aimed for a flexible, imaginative, and playful take on the grid, using vibrant colors and strong illustrative elements.
Khruangbin, the subject of this design, redefines modern music by blending bass-heavy, psychedelic styles with Persian funk, Jamaican dub, and East Asian surf-rock, creating a captivating, genre-defying mix.
Tissi's focus on typography and design parallels Khruangbin's emphasis on mood and atmosphere. Both embody cultural blends: Tissi through design, Khruangbin through sound. Balancing these two inspirations shaped my design.
